LOG1も中々興味深い内容だったが、やはりDVDの主要キャラのキャスト座談会がある分、こっちの方が私としては良かった。そもそも攻殻自体が非常に文学性の高い作品であると思っているが、そこら辺鑑賞にあたってリンクする参考図書や実際の事件などキチンと紹介してあり、なかなか読ませる。全てのシリーズを観終わった後もまた改めて読んでみても飽きにくい作りだと思った。余計なのはグラビアアイドルが演じる全～然似ていない素子のコスプレ映像のみ。イメージが崩れるからやめてったら！

～第一弾（Official～～ Log1）が26話の各話解説およびアニメ制作資料が中心であるのに対し、Log2はシリーズ構成、作品テーマ、シナリオ（ドラマ）など、「物語とテーマ」を中心に掘り下げる試みがされている。本の内容はシリーズの縦軸となる「笑い男事件」のダイジェスト解説、シリーズ構成資料、脚本インタビュー（5人！）、監督のロングインタビュー、「事件」の元ネタである実際の～～劇場型犯罪や疑獄事件は、事件当時の新聞の号外が解説されている。Log1で意表を突いたスタパ斉藤の連載も第２弾が掲載。付属のDVDは約1時間強で、映像版の「笑い男編」ハイライト（副音声で監督+演出陣の座談会が聞ける）、メインキャラクターの声優5人の座談会が収録されている。とかく「絵」の方が話題となるアニメだが、本書（DVD?）は珍しく、「ドラマ～～」や「テーマ」部分の話題が充実しているのが最大の特徴。全話コンプリートした人にはオススメです。～ nekonosuzumi

正直、Official Log 1同様、ブックレットの方がメインだと言える。これを買うのは本編全話見てる人だと思うので。攻殻ファンならコレクターズアイテムとして買っても損はないが、その程度の代物です。1を買って、もし失敗したと感じているのならあえて買う必要は無いかも。 横尾俊一郎

The premium DVD has three segments and covers a wide variety of material -- Highlight Flash, a mixture of music and visual images of the best scenes from the series, Interview Archives, compiling all the best interviews from all the different cast and crew and creating one grand archive of the best quotes and material, and 9th Studio Digital Works, a look at the CG and artwork of Stand Alone Complex with special focus on the mechanics.

The book is a thick paper hardcover bound in cloth and featuring 140 plus pages of character material, Shirow publication timeline, illustrations, episode guides and more. In both color and B&W, this book covers episodes 20 through 26 (with information on the upcoming season two!).
